Weddin Community Transport provides transport to disadvantaged people living in the Weddin Shire. We receive funding from the Australian Government (through CHSP) to provide services to eligible, frail, older people aged 65 years and over, or 50 years and over for Aboriginal people. The State Government’s Community Transport Program (CTP) funds us to provide services to people who do not have access to public or private transport due to where they live, the time they need to travel, personal mobility restrictions or affordability. Services are door-to-door, provided by trained, supportive drivers in buses, vans, cars and taxis. The services we offer include shopping, social outings, transport to medical and other appointments. There is a small fee for services provided. If you are ineligible for CHSP-funded services, then you may qualify for other services we provide, if you are transport disadvantage. Contact us directly to find out if you are eligible for our transport service.
