Social support keeps people connected with the community and provides services such as individual assistance to help with shopping, bill paying, support to access government services and help with reading correspondence, letter writing and posting mail. Social support also offers companionship through friendly home visits or telephone contact to check how you are feeling, as well as assistance to attend regular community outings and social events. Walcha Council Community Care works with local volunteers to assist clients and carers with these services.
