Since opening in 2019, Melva McDonald Lodge has been welcomed into the local community and is home to 90 residents. Incorporating innovative dementia design principles, it features pleasant outdoor spaces and is within walking distance of transport and shops.
Person-centred care is at the forefront of this home’s design with private en suite bathrooms, care within dedicated groups and dementia-friendly spaces. The innovative building design incorporates a ‘village-feel Main Street’, with shopfronts for services including a hairdresser and café.
Melva McDonald Lodge has a dedicated lifestyle team to provide regular activities for residents. This team also facilitates our Rhythm of Life® program, giving residents a choice in how they spend their day from meals to activities, outings and more.
