Established in 1982, Wahroonga is the only aged care site in Biloela and has maintained a deep and genuine connection with the local community for nearly 40 years providing both retirement living and aged care services.
The village is a small but lively community set amongst 24 peaceful acres in rural Biloela in central Queensland offering independent retirement living, residential aged care and in-home care options.
Set amongst lofty gum trees and well-maintained gardens, Wahroonga is an easy walking distance to town and welcomes local seniors to join social activities at its Day Therapy Centre.
Wahroonga aged care residents enjoy a curated activities calendar that includes a variety of musical activities, craft, weekly shopping trips and bingo. There are a variety of clubs for all interest groups such as the Men’s Shed and a local card club.
Residents also enjoy connecting with nature through gardening, pottering in the veggie patch, feeding the birds outside their rooms.
