Description

Frankston Banksia Cottage respite is a six bed facility which offers a short-term 'home away from home' break for older people and for people who have a disability as a result of illness and/or dementia, while allowing their carers to take a break. This service operates 24 hours, 7 days a week. The 24/7 care is both flexible and individually tailored to provide a positive experience for both the family member and the carer. At Banksia Cottage we offer respite care that meets the needs of the client, carer and family. The duration of your stay can be overnight, for the weekend or a week or two (minimum 1 night stay to a maximum of 14 nights) while carers take a holiday or have a rest. Every client receives a high standard of care from dedicated Nursing and Carer Support Workers. Staff at the Cottage highly value client, carer and family involvement in planning client care to ensure we meet all of your needs and to make your stay as
enjoyable as possible.
