The aim of the service is to enhance general health, wellbeing and independence of people who are frail aged and isolated by allowing up to eight people to talk and participate in organised activities together on the telephone. Our Coordinator runs a telephone session lasting approximately one hour for each group per week. In addition to general chit chat participants can engage in a number of activities, all without leaving your home. Our activities reflect the needs, interests and backgrounds of the individuals who attend each group. The program involves a variety of activities, including games, quizzes and guest speakers, outings with the Diversional Therapy is also offered with a door to door transport provided in modified vehicles. People who are frail aged, living on the Macarthur area and are socially isolated are eligible for the service.
