The District Nursing Service conducts home visits to aged, frail and ill housebound residents to monitor health, assist with administering medication and provide support. Services include post-acute care, oncology support, wound management and palliative care.
A 24-hour emergency service is available for palliative care clients.
Cardiac Rehabilitation - 8 week program recognised by the National Heart Foundation, providing education & rehabilitation for clients who have suffered a cardiac event and their partners. Pulmonary Rehabilitation- 8 week program for people who have lung disease, such as asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). The program offers twice weekly individualised exercise programs & weekly education sessions which include medication management, information on lung disease, anatomy of the lungs, sputum clearance, the importance of keeping active, energy conservation, managing anxiety and panic attacks & healthy eating.
