Where can I find my current service or provider details?

If you want to see what services you – or someone you care for – is receiving, you can find this in your My Aged Care Online Account.

Here you can find your approved services, provider details, and interactions with My Aged Care.

Will I need to change providers if I move from Commonwealth Home Support Programme services to a Home Care Package?

Possibly. Some service providers offer both. If you’re currently receiving Commonwealth Home Support Programme services, you should talk with your provider. You can find your provider details online, through your My Aged Care Online Account.

Your Online Account contains important information about your assessments, services, and interactions with My Aged Care.

Can I change providers?

Yes, you can. We know there can be many reasons why you may want – or need – to change providers. 

If you’re comfortable talking to your current provider, it’s a good idea to speak to them first. However, if you prefer, you can call My Aged Care on 1800 200 422.

The process to change your provider will depend on the type of care you currently receive.

Can I stop my services?

Yes. You can choose to stop receiving services at any time. You will need to let your provider know in advance. If you want to stop receiving services because you need another type of care, you can call My Aged Care on 1800 200 422.

I need to have a break from my services. How do I do that?

There are many reasons why you might need to take a break from your services. If you’re going on a holiday or have a scheduled hospital stay, make sure you talk to your service provider about the details in advance. 

Each type of care is different. Your provider will know how a break can affect your services and fees while you’re away.

My needs have changed, should I get reassessed?

Yes, it’s important that your care plan matches your needs.

Depending on the services and needs you have, your current provider may be able to do this for you. You can also call My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 to request a reassessment.
