Single rooms

All rooms are spacious with large ensuites - .
Electric beds with pressure relieving mattresses are provided to enable staff to provide optimum care and support to residents. Many beds are able to be lowered to floor level. A bedside cupboard is provided.
An over head tracking system enables staff to use state of the art lifting equipment to safely transfer frail residents.
Large built in wardrobes provide space for clothes and other personal items. Residents are encouraged to decorate their rooms with pictures, ornaments and small pieces of furniture.
Large windows overlook the gardens and countryside.
Rooms are heated and have fans for cooling.
All rooms have a flat screen television set that is wall mounted.
Ensuites are large enough for a mobile bath to fit if required.
All rooms have a nurse call system.

Common areas description Residents have access to multiple common areas. Poppy Place has a large central lounge and dining room providing a space for activities and to enjoy social occasions. A second small lounge with adjacent kitchenette provides residents and families with a quiet space to visit.
Kiewa and Hobb's Corner also have sitting rooms and kitchenettes. Contemporary furniture features in all common areas, with spaces designed to encourage residents to socialise and enjoy the company of family and friends.
A library, garden room, cafe , hairdresser, resident laundry, kitchen and gym provide services and spaces with flexible uses. Large activity areas enable residents to enjoy craft, music and other group activities.
Additional care and services included in room price Qualified Registered Nurses are available 24 hours per day to attend to complex care needs.
A comprehensive lifestyle program is offered to all residents from Monday to Saturday. A bus and car is available to transport residents to offsite activities.
Computers including touch screens and wifi are available for resident with staff providing tutorials and support. IPads are available for residents to use in their rooms.
An onsite café and gift shop enables residents, families and visitors to enjoy a café experience and purchase personal items and gifts.

Common areas description Each home has a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. A large lounge opens to a balcony that has views to the nearby mountains. A separate sun room looks over the valley and is filled with light and warmth.

Residents have access to all common areas of Yackandandah Health, including a library, gym, activity rooms and a number of sitting rooms.
