Prague House

Prague House is a specialised aged care facility in Kew that supports people living with a mental health diagnosis or an acquired brain injury. Many of our residents may have a history of homelessness or have been at risk of becoming homeless. Prague House is a community where people belong - not just a place to live. Our uniquely designed building is set across two levels with lift access. There are 45 single rooms and each opens onto a verandah or balcony. You will have access to visiting GP's and other medical specialists, allied health professionals such as physiotherapists and podiatrists, and will be supported by the resources of St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne. St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne is a registered NDIS service provider and works in partnership with NDIS participants, including people under 65, and their supporters to reach each individual's goals. This may include support to transition out of residential care into accommodation in the wider community.

The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing assess the quality of care at all government-funded aged care homes. Based on these assessments, each home receives a Star Rating as a simple way of showing information about the quality of care they provide and how they compare to others. Read more about Star Ratings.

If you pay a refundable accommodation deposit or a refundable accommodation contribution, they may be subject to retention. Any daily accommodation payment you make may also be subject to indexation. Learn more about aged care home costs and fees.

Specialisations with a check mark symbol are verified by the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing under the 1997 Aged Care Act. After the initial verification, these specialisations are reviewed every 3 years. Read more about how the specialisation verification process works.
