No two of us are the same. We are shaped by our cultures and languages, where we live, our identities, and our experiences.
The new Aged Care Act Statement of Rights explains what rights older people have when accessing government-funded aged care services.
These rights are there to make sure you’re treated with respect, listened to, and supported to live the way you choose. You have the right to make decisions about your life, your care, and who provides it. You also have the right to feel safe, have your culture and identity respected, and stay connected to your community.

Find a provider that meets your specific needs
You can use the Find a provider tool to search for aged care providers that meet your needs.
Some providers listed in the Find a Provider tool have been verified as delivering care and services that meet the needs of people from different backgrounds or life experiences. These providers have undergone a process that validates their claims as a provider of specialised care and services using the Specialisation Verification Framework.
This helps you to be confident that provider claims of specialised care have been verified by the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing.
Alternatively, you can call My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 for support in finding a suitable aged care provider.
