Germanus Kent House

Germanus Kent House has all the features of a modern aged care home while still incorporating the natural beauty and vibrant culture of the Kimberley region into its design. Broome’s distinct way of life is reflected in the house’s earthy tones and floor-to-ceiling windows, which let in the tropical light and display the surrounding landscaped gardens. Our team is made up of Registered Nurses, Carers, Chefs and Hospitality staff who support our residents 24 hours a day. Residents also receive specialist support from allied health professionals. Working on the land of the Yawuru traditional owners, it is important that our residents remain connected to their culture. We do this by providing culturally appropriate services so our residents can retain strong ties with their families and community. Germanus Kent House is co-located with our Bran Nue Dae respite centre.

All information on this page - excluding Star Ratings, verified specialisations and Residents' Experience - is entered and maintained by Germanus Kent House, who is responsible for ensuring the information is accurate, complete and up to date.

The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing assess the quality of care at all government-funded aged care homes. Based on these assessments, each home receives a Star Rating as a simple way of showing information about the quality of care they provide and how they compare to others. Read more about Star Ratings.

If you pay a refundable accommodation deposit or a refundable accommodation contribution, they may be subject to retention. Any daily accommodation payment you make may also be subject to indexation. Learn more about aged care home costs and fees.

Specialisations with a check mark symbol are verified by the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing. Each verification lasts for 3 years from the date it was granted. Once it expires, providers can apply again if they want to continue to be recognised for a specific specialisation on the Find a Provider tool.
