The state-of-the-art Boollam Boollam Aged Care Centre has opened and, is Monash Health’s flagship residential aged care home located in Heatherton. Monash Health partnered with the Bunurong Land Council to name this home 'Boollam Boollam', which in a language of the Kulin Nation, refers to butterflies, a symbol of life changes and metamorphosis. Architecturally designed with 10 smaller houses, each with 15 private rooms with ensuite. The environment is designed to support individuals living with complex clinical care needs, including those living with dementia, mental health illness, severe disability and those requiring ageing-in-place support. As part of Monash Health, we ensure best-practice care is delivered in an environment that promotes independence, enjoyment of life and privacy. Set in an extensive garden setting with private areas for families and friends Monash Health is proud to offer this standard of accommodation and care support.
