Banksia Lodge

Since 1995 we’ve been providing high quality residential aged care at Banksia Lodge, – our architecturally designed facility located in Broulee, on the beautiful NSW South Coast. We’ve worked hard to gain our reputation for excellence, compassion and innovation in aged care, and for providing a caring and supportive environment that promotes well-being, independence and quality of life. Banksia Lodge partners with residents and their families to provide care designed to meet their individual needs – including respite care, dementia care and palliative care. As part of Banksia’s Strategic Plan, and in line with best practice and recommendations of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, Banksia Lodge has begun the process of transitioning to a Small House Model of Care. Two small households – Rosella House and Kookaburra House were introduced in 2025, with plans to transition the whole of Banksia Lodge to this model. Our cafe services the whole community.

All information on this page - excluding Star Ratings, verified specialisations and Residents' Experience - is entered and maintained by Banksia Lodge, who is responsible for ensuring the information is accurate, complete and up to date.

The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing assess the quality of care at all government-funded aged care homes. Based on these assessments, each home receives a Star Rating as a simple way of showing information about the quality of care they provide and how they compare to others. Read more about Star Ratings.

If you pay a refundable accommodation deposit or a refundable accommodation contribution, they may be subject to retention. Any daily accommodation payment you make may also be subject to indexation. Learn more about aged care home costs and fees.

Specialisations with a check mark symbol are verified by the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing. Each verification lasts for 3 years from the date it was granted. Once it expires, providers can apply again if they want to continue to be recognised for a specific specialisation on the Find a Provider tool.
