Hammondcare Daw Park

For nearly 30 years, HammondCare has specialised in caring for people living with dementia, developing and sharing world-recognised research and best practices. Part of the Repat Health Precinct, HammondCare Daw Park is a new dementia care village, purpose-built to maximise choice and independence. Onsite there are 6 small cottages each providing small household living for between 9 to 15 residents. Cottages employ evidence-based design features including central family home kitchens to encourage participation in everyday activities like meal preparation. A mix of inviting living areas, quiet sitting spaces, easy-access outdoor areas, and an onsite general store offers choice in daily living. Trained in specialised care and relationship-based principles, the expert care team tailor their approach to the individual and provide 24/7 registered nurse-led care. They learn about each person's history, passions, values, and hobbies to help them maintain a fulfilling life.
