Hopetoun Hostel

The wellbeing of the residents is our reason for being. That’s why we put the ‘Person-First’ in everything we do. We believe it is important to embrace the individuality of every resident for whom we are privileged to care. We work diligently with the resident and family to ensure residents get the right care and support for them. Our focus is on the ability of the person so they have continued capacity and the opportunity to keep doing the things that they want to do. Our focus on living life to the fullest allows each resident to continue to share their knowledge and skills and learn new knowledge and skills. It’s important that we have a partnership with families, friends, stakeholders and partners that demonstrates a commitment to social, physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual wellness of the resident. Respite is provided to give an opportunity for families and carers to have a short break from the routine of daily at-home care.

All information on this page - excluding Star Ratings, verified specialisations and Residents' Experience - is entered and maintained by Hopetoun Hostel, who is responsible for ensuring the information is accurate, complete and up to date.

The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing assess the quality of care at all government-funded aged care homes. Based on these assessments, each home receives a Star Rating as a simple way of showing information about the quality of care they provide and how they compare to others. Read more about Star Ratings.

If you pay a refundable accommodation deposit or a refundable accommodation contribution, they may be subject to retention. Any daily accommodation payment you make may also be subject to indexation. Learn more about aged care home costs and fees.

Specialisations with a check mark symbol are verified by the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing. Each verification lasts for 3 years from the date it was granted. Once it expires, providers can apply again if they want to continue to be recognised for a specific specialisation on the Find a Provider tool.
