Blue Care Star Of The Sea Elders Village

Star of the Sea Elders Village sits high above the ocean on Thursday Island, where two wings of large rooms hug the cliffside, offering sweeping views of the sky above and the sea below. Food is cooked fresh on site – share a meal or a drink in the magnificent Ocean View Room, enjoy the garden, or observe the ever-changing sea. Visit the chapel or take a trip on our site-owned bus. Our residents are a vital part of the wider community and participate in cultural events and festivals. We support people living with dementia, as well as offering residential respite care. And we collaborate with the Island groups to provide culturally appropriate care, so we can build a stronger future together for the communities of the Torres Strait Islands. Our services are delivered by Pinangba, an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander group of services, where family and belonging are at the heart of everything we do. We are part of the UnitingCare family and operated by BlueCare.
