Uniting Amala Gordon Act

Uniting Amala is a welcoming and well-appointed aged care home in the Canberra suburb of Gordon. You’ll enjoy round-the-clock support and peace of mind in modern surrounds.  This gives you and your fellow residents more choice to decide how your daily lives run. From the activities you take part in to the meals you enjoy and the times you wake and retire, you’ll shape your day-to-day. Even our layout has been considered to ensure Uniting Amala is as homely as possible. In January 2020, the Commission raised a number of areas where Amala needed to improve in order to fully comply with standards and requirements. These areas included; better matching our staffing to resident need, and, improving our complaint/feedback mechanisms and assessment/care planning processes. Since that time, we have worked hard to implement a continuous improvement plan. We are confident that we have addressed all concerns and are now able to demonstrate full compliance with all standards and requirements.
