The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing is welcoming 9 new members to the Aged Care Council of Elders.
The Council is a group of older people from diverse backgrounds with lived experiences of ageing and aged care. Members are active all around the country, listening to your experiences with the aged care system. They then report back to government on what matters most to you.
New members joining the council this year

- Mr Warren Martens
- Ms Ann Robinson
- Mr Bruce Nelson
- Ms Pam Hegarty
- Ms Robyn Abrahams
- Dr Barbara Buzzard
- Ms Roberta (Bobbie) Kidd.
They join returning members Dr Ponniah Anandajayasekeram, Associate Professor John Cullen AM, Mr William (Uncle Benny) Hodges, Mr Russell Westacott and Council Chair Ms Anne Burgess AM.
The department thanks our outgoing members for their dedication to the aged care community, including Aunty Lyn Cullinane, Ms Gwenda Darling, Dr John Davis, Ms Val Fell OAM, Ms Gillian Groom AO, Ms Anna Harrison AM JP, Ms Julie Rankin and Ms Lyn Whiteway.
