Dementia Australia QLD
This provider offers services through the Commonwealth Home Support Program.
Dementia Australia's Home and Community General Respite is facilitated through either Centre Based Respite, available Monday - Friday business hours..
Centre-Based Respite are group based activities from our facility Cedar House in Mudgeeraba, or accessing activities in the local community in our Out and About program. Group sizes are kept small to help build social connections and meaningful relationships. We offer high levels of support to help people diagnosed with dementia engaging in fun, meaningful activities, learning new skills along the way. Our staff have high levels of dementia knowledge, and group activities are driven by the interests of the group. Activities include art/craft based, intergenerational programs, men's shed and designed to stimulate thinking. We follow Eden Alternative domains of Wellbeing. Our Out & About programs visit local galleries, parks, museums and other community based events, to help keep you connected to what's happening on the Gold Coast.
