Dementia Australia QLD
This provider offers services through the Commonwealth Home Support Program.
Dementia Australia offers Home and Community Respite through our Centre-Based Respite programs, available Monday to Friday. Our small group programs at Cedar House in Mudgeeraba, along with our Out & About community program, are designed to build social connections, meaningful relationships and support people living with dementia in a safe, engaging environment. We provide a high level of personalised support for people living with dementia, encouraging participation in enjoyable and meaningful activities. Our experienced staff are highly trained in dementia care, and all activities are thoughtfully tailored to the interests and abilities of each person. These may include arts and crafts, intergenerational programs, Men’s Shed, and experiences that stimulate thinking and wellbeing. Through our Out & About program, elders enjoy engaging in local sights and activities. Guided by the Eden Alternative Philosophy, our approach focuses on promoting purpose, connection, and independence.
