The Day Respite Service offers all the services of a stand-alone day respite program (incl. separate entrance) with the added benefits of access to the additional services available from a residential facility – the day respite program offers a high level of personal care & social engagement. We recognise the important role carers do in our community. Many carers provide high levels of support to their loved ones often forgoing their own health needs. Often the difference between successfully managing to remain in the community & the need to move into a residential facility is a day off to give the carer a chance to attend their own personal or health needs or to have a break from their important role. Operating on weekdays the centre provides a dedicated area staffed with qualified support workers to ensure people accessing the service are engaged in social activities & provided with a high level of personal care. Funding can be from sources incl. private, package, carers support.
