Situated close to the heart of the picturesque township of Mount Barker is the new state of the art residential care site, Oakfield Lodge. You are first welcomed by a large light filled community area which includes a café, hairdresser, and a range of activity spaces. We offer a broad range of lifestyle programs designed to accommodate your individual needs and encourage you to attend our Health and Wellness Centre to maintain your fitness levels.Each of the 80 individual rooms offer you spacious ensuites, built-in wardrobes, and reverse cycle air-conditioning and are grouped into four separate houses to produce the perfect blend of private and community spaces to relax and enjoy. Each bedroom features an outlook onto the beautifully landscaped gardens.Wireless internet is available throughout the area to keep you connected online. We provide chef-cooked meals, prepared on site, and can cater for your special dietary requirements.Southern Cross Care’s whole-person approach means we also cater to your spiritual needs. The chapel caters to all faiths and denominations. Pastoral care staff are also available to provide counselling and social support to you.

Service costs

Aged care homes are required to provide care and services as outlined in the Aged Care Service List within the Aged Care Rule. This includes help with everyday living tasks, as well as clinical and non-clinical care. These services are paid for or supplemented in different ways. Support for your daily living

Support for your daily living is paid by your basic daily fee and the government hotelling supplement. Depending on your financial circumstances, you may pay some or all of the hotelling supplement as a hotelling contribution. Estimate what you'll need to pay.

  • utilities such as gas, water and electricity, and heating and cooling

Clinical and non-clinical care
