These programs are provided under the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) funding or through Aged Care Packages. Kingsgrove Community Aid Centre Inc. uses wellness and reablement approaches to deliver support to the elderly. Monday: A social group for Italian speaking seniors. Tuesday: An out and about group gets together for outings including long bus trips and shopping days. Several information sessions are held throughout the year on specific Friday’s. Talks on issues like Senior’s Health and well being as well as safety are provided by guest speakers. Referrals are accepted from GP’s, Aged Care assessment team, family and self referral. and Wednesday: A social group for Arabic speaking seniors. Thursday: General Senior’s social outings and networking groups. Friday: A social group for Chinese (Mandarin) speaking seniors.
