SERVICES PROVIDED AT HORNSBY HOSPITAL AND 6 COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRES IN OUR CATCHMENT AREA. CLIENTS MUST LIVE IN HORNSBY OR KU-RING-GAI LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS.
Podiatrists treat conditions of the feet and provide assessment, treatment and education to assist in managing and preventing complications including ulceration, amputation and infection in high risk clients. The services aim to preserve mobility and independence and prevent hospitalisation.
Referrals are accepted for people who have specific high risk medical conditions including diabetes, renal disease, rheumatoid arthritis, poor circulation and numbness of the feet. Interpreters are available. A medical referral is required.
Personal care such as toenail cutting and management of calluses for people without chronic medical conditions is unable to be provided.
Clients who are unable to attend hospitals or community health centres can be referred to the Lane Cove and North Side Community Services to access In-Home P
