Resthaven Community Respite Services - Day and Overnight Cottage Respite
This provider offers services through the Commonwealth Home Support Program.
Overnight cottage respite provides an opportunity for you, the carer, to have from one night and up to a week (day and night) of planned respite, while the person you care for (the client) is supported by experienced staff in a home style setting. Working with you and the client, assessment is undertaken and tailored support such as personal care, medication management, and activities are provided to meet the client’s assessed needs, capacity, abilities and interests. Services and activities include a focus on daily living skills to support client independence. Staff are trained in supporting older people and people living with dementia. Transport to and from the venue may be provided, depending on you and the client’s circumstances. Overnight cottage respite is available at Westbourne Park, Aldinga and Toorak Gardens.
