Swan Hill District Health - Social Support Group
This provider offers services through the Commonwealth Home Support Program.
Social Support Groups are a service that provides its members with recreational and social support. Members enjoy a variety of activities and puzzles tailored to suit their interests and hobbies, and allows them to connect with others in the community. We celebrate fun activities, special theme days, music and outings, which encourage social interactions and fosters friendships. Most of our groups are run during the day, and members are provided with a two-course lunch, at an additional cost. We have various groups available Monday to Friday, including Men’s Shed, Art Group, Forget-Me-Not’s (dementia-specific group), Crafties, OPALS (Older People, Active Lifestyle), Brainstormers (Brain puzzles and challenges), Italian-speaking cards and Bingo groups, and an Afghan Men’s Hazaragi-speaking evening group. We encourage you to make contact with us to arrange a free trial of a group of your choice.
