Alfred Health Carer Services
This provider offers services through the Commonwealth Home Support Program.
This service offers respite for carers who provide support to someone aged 65 years & over (50 years & over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people). It offers flexible respite hours and long day stays and is delivered in partnership with a variety of aged care homes for residents in the south metro region of Melbourne. These centres are relaxed, comfortable and accessible, and the person you care for can develop new friendships and take part in regular group activities. This service is suitable for care recipients who need support and cannot be left alone for long periods of time, or for carers who require longer respite hours. Your care recipient can also access allied health and additional services such as podiatry, physiotherapy and hairdressers. Additional services must be booked, and extra charges apply. Fees for this program start from $13 for a 6-hour respite session including lunch.
