This provider offers services through the Commonwealth Home Support Program.
Banyule Social Support Group is for older adults residing within Banyule City Council. We offer 2 programs for people to connect, socialise and participate in group activities, increasing their wellbeing by reducing isolation. Our day program operates Monday-Friday from 10am-2.30pm. Group social activities include exercises, art, gardening, guest speakers, musical performances, bus trips, lunch outings and more. Morning tea and a 2 course lunch is provided. Our Social Outings Group runs fortnightly (Friday) for active people to enjoy social excursions across Melbourne including museums, historical sites, gardens, cinemas, activity centres etc. Staff are qualified with a minimum of Cert III in Aged Care/equivalent. Banyule Social Support Group is a Rainbow Tick accredited service provider. Transport is available to/from the centre if required. If transport is required, consumers are asked to be ready by 9am and wait inside their homes. Consumers will return home between 2.40-3.30pm.
