This provider offers services through the Commonwealth Home Support Program.
AVAILABLE TO MONASH RESIDENTS ONLY Our social groups support older adults to stay socially active, meet others and enjoy shared activities in a relaxed group setting. We offer both in-house activities and small to medium-sized outings, running on most days of the week. Groups may meet weekly, fortnightly or monthly, allowing participants to choose a pace that suits their interests, energy levels and routine. Activities and outing destinations are shaped by the group and may include social games, creative activities, cafes and local places of interest. The focus is on companionship, conversation and enjoying the day together. Best suited for: people experiencing loneliness or social isolation who can participate in a group setting, have independent mobility (with or without an aid), and communicate in English. Not suitable for: people requiring one-on-one support, personal care or high physical or behavioural support. Transportation is available on request.
