Bendigo Community Health Services - Social Support Group
This provider offers services through the Commonwealth Home Support Program.
The group is being held on a Monday and Wednesday at the Christine Cumming Activity Centre, 46 Jeffrey Street, Elmore and on a Friday which will host a group outing either shopping or visiting places of interest. The BCHS Social Support Group (SSG) (previously Planned Activity Group) supports you to live in the community by providing a range of activities and programs promoting social inclusion, community participation, maintaining independence, wellbeing and respite or support for carers. Our SSG provides a close and supportive environment for our members to enjoy. Our SSG staff consults with members to create a newsletter / calendar of events which includes special celebrations, outings ie day outings, shopping trips, music programs, craft and woodwork activities and guest speakers. A fee for this service covers the cost of meals and activities provided.
