The City of Salisbury offers a range of social programs at three senior centres:
• Jack Young Centre in Salisbury
• Para Hills Senior Centre
• Pine Lakes Centre in Parafield Gardens
1. Social support and community engagement – Group social support
• Activities and groups include art and craft, knitting, crochet, cards and games, indoor bowls, creative writing, ukulele, computer lessons, brain gym, wood burning, tai chi, walking groups, chair-based exercise, strength for life and line dancing
• Cultural and linguistically diverse social groups include, Bhutanese, Bosnian, Intercultural, Italian, Filipino and Vietnamese
2. Meal delivery
Centres offer freshly made home-style meals, snacks, and desserts daily
• Jack Young Centre serves lunch Monday to Friday
• Para Hills Senior Centre serves lunch on Tuesdays
• Daily specials and menu options
• Frozen meals available during centre opening hours
3. Transport
Transport may be available to attend activities at the centre
