Merri-bek City Council - Delivered Meals
This provider offers services through the Commonwealth Home Support Program.
Merri-bek Council offers a very popular Social Support Group program, with options for everybody!
Our groups are based at the Newlands Senior Citizens Centre (49-53 Murray Road Coburg) and run from approx: 10am to 2pm
Groups include:
Monday: Inner Peace and balance (Seated Tai Chi)
Tuesday: Fabulous Fun Times (45 minute exercise program for all)
Wednesday: Timeless Artisans (Gardening, art, cooking and more) & Café Connections (out in community to enjoy a meal)
Thursday: Out and About (all day program at various locations) & Sip and stroll (outdoors and enjoying a picnic and coffee)
Friday: Morning Melodies (Monthly) & Men’s Program (Weekly)
Cost is $6.80 per session and include a light nutritious meal for on-site programs.
Offsite programs are $6.80 per session, however lunch/coffee will need to be purchased.
We also have popular Senior Bus Trips that are advertised separately. These are full day trips and have some mobility requirements.
