Rushworth Community House
This provider offers services through the Commonwealth Home Support Program.
The Rushworth Community Transport Service provides social support and transportation to medical and shopping services that are not available in local towns and to visit family in care settings. We pick up from Rushworth and surrounding communities and travel to Bendigo, Echuca, Kyabram, Shepparton & everywhere in between. Services are for the disadvantaged - people who are adversely affected by isolation, have mobility problems, lack access to mainstream public transport services, do not hold a valid driver's license, or are on a low income. Please note that there is a small fee for this service. Clients must be able to independently transition into and out of vehicles.
Social support includes companionship and help during transportation. This may involve conversation, carrying light items, guiding clients to appointments, or assisting other providers. Transport costs $1.40 per kilometer from the Rushworth Community House depot to return. A $30 booking fee covers the administration.
