This provider offers services through the Commonwealth Home Support Program.
Transport can be offered to people who are not able to use private or public transport, or taxis. We can provide transport for shopping, to community centres and for one-off medical appointments. To be eligible clients need to be reasonably independent and physically mobile as assessed. It is a door-to-door service. COMMUNITY BUS Three accessible buses operate from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. There are bus runs to: • shopping and recreation centres • libraries • senior citizen clubs • community health centres. VOLUNTEER TRANSPORT Volunteers take clients to medical appointments within a 10km radius of the municipality. Bookings require two weeks’ notice. If clients require a carer/support person to accompany them on the trip, this person must also be referred/assessed. This is a volunteer service so service subject to availability of drivers. No available drivers on a Friday. This service does not offer taxi vouchers or any other indirect transport support.
