Orange City Council’s Choices at Home program provides seniors with personalised Social Support – Individual, offering safe and supported access to essential community activities. This service includes escorted assistance for tasks such as grocery shopping, attending medical or other appointments, banking, paying bills. Older people are accompanied by a Choices at Home staff member or a fully inducted volunteer, ensuring safety, comfort and confidence throughout the outing. To deliver this service, a Social Support – Transport referral code is also required. This allows transport and support services to be linked, ensuring clients can travel safely to and from their destination while receiving the support they need.
