BASScare Dementia Day Respite Programs provide a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for people living with dementia to spend the day engaged in meaningful and enjoyable activities. Delivered by experienced and compassionate staff, the programs focus on maintaining independence, wellbeing and social connection, while offering carers valuable time for rest and support.
Programs are offered at Maranoa House (Canterbury) and Elsie Salter House (Ashburton), with structured activities tailored to individual abilities and interests, including social interaction, gentle exercise, creative activities and cognitive stimulation. Nutritious meals are provided, and care is delivered in a calm, respectful and inclusive setting.
