Assist Building and Maintenance can undertake a range of home maintenance activities and repairs which will enhance the safety and independence of the older person or person with a disability. General maintenance activities include tile repair, minor carpentry e.g. window and door repair, steps, decking, door and window locks and screens, general maintenance that is safety related. Minor electrical work e.g. replacing and upgrading light bulbs, repair to faulty switches/power points, etc. Minor plumbing e.g washers, taps, leaks, etc. Eligibility criteria apply, a subsidised fee for work applies for eligible clients. No client eligible for subsidy will be refused service on the grounds they cannot pay. Referrals can be accepted for fee for service clients.
