Dementia Australia's Home and Community General Respite is facilitated through either Centre Based Respite, available Monday - Friday business hours.. Centre-Based Respite are group based activities from our facility at Battery Point. Group sizes are kept small to help build social connections and meaningful relationships. We offer high levels of support to help people diagnosed with dementia engaging in fun, meaningful activities, learning new skills along the way. Our staff have high levels of dementia knowledge, and group activities are driven by the interests of the group. Activities include art/craft based, or designed to stimulate thinking and cognitive skills.
