Social Support Groups at Yanada House in Northcote offer planned activity programs that enable older adults to maintain and enhance their wellbeing, whilst living independently within the community. Groups meet Tuesday to Friday in a safe and supportive environment. We offer flexible, person-centred programs with an age-friendly focus on community engagement and social connections. Our activities cater to each person's needs and encourage interaction with others, through a range of stimulating activities that maintain health and wellbeing. We welcome participants to join our theme days, social and recreational outings, activities, entertainment, guest speakers and many more options. These groups also include healthy, tasty meals in an inviting social setting. Door to door bus transport may be available to eligible clients within the City of Darebin.
