The design function of this accommodation is unit is to support people living with dementia. Key features are all resident rooms access directly into common areas, with high ceiling voids and ample natural light. The resident rooms are maintained and presented at a high standard, with wall colours and window treatments in neutral tones. All rooms have a nurse call system at the bed side and in the en-suite, a wall mounted reverse cycle air-conditioner for individualized temperature control. A high low electronic bed with a pressure relieving mattress, bedside cabinet and over bed table are provided. The built in robes have ample hanging and storage to accommodate personal clothing and belongings. All resident rooms have monitored fire suppression and detection systems.
