Community Nursing provides nursing care for people with:
- A chronic illness who need care, intervention and maintenance
- Chronic leg ulcers, requiring dressings
- Catheter changes
- Trial of void
Community Nursing is unable to provide personal care, such as bathing and showering.
Community Nursing is unable to provide assessment of continence problems and/or application for continence aids between 13/12/23-31/03/24
Services are provided at Lithgow Community Health Centre or, by negotiation, in clients’ homes. Services are provided by qualified registered nurses and enrolled nurses, supported by nursing specialists.
