Community Wheels Inc. provides community transport services to transport disadvantaged people living in the local government areas of Parramatta and Cumberland. We receive funding from the Australian Government (through CHSP) to provides services to eligible, frail, older people aged 65 and over, or 50 years and over for Aboriginal People. In addition, the State Government's Community Transport Program (CTP) funds us to provide services to people who do not have access to public or private transport due to where they live, the time they need to travel, personal mobility restrictions or affordability. Services are door-to-door, provided by trained, supportive drivers in buses, vans, cars and taxis. The services we offer include shopping buses, social outings, and transport to medical and other appointments. There is a contribution payable for services based on the type of service provided and the distance of the trip.
