BASScare Marwal Centre Meals Service
This provider offers services through the Commonwealth Home Support Program.
Our Meals on Wheels program is a service we’re proud to deliver throughout the Boroondara community. More than just providing a nutritious, three-course meal to older people’s homes, it’s also about fostering a sense of community and promoting independence. Many of our clients wish to remain in their own home and receiving a hot meal each weekday allows them to do this. For our long-time volunteers who deliver the meals, it’s a role they cherish and, often, if feels like a drop-in on an old friend. At BASScare, it’s all about the client. Even down to the menu. We know what the favourite meals are, so we make sure they’re on rotation. Furthermore, it serves as a check-in on the welfare of our clients. Any problems a client may be experiencing are quickly brought to the attention of BASScare staff, whom proceed to notify family members or carers.
