ADEC - Disability & High Needs Social Support Groups
This provider offers services through the Commonwealth Home Support Program.
See attachment for list of language groups and locations.
ADEC also runs 13 High Needs Groups in five languages (Chinese, Turkish, Afghan, Karen and Arabic) across the Northern, Western and Southern regions of Melbourne. High needs groups offer support to frail aged and people with disabilities who are experiencing social isolation. The group members are picked up from their homes and taken on an outing such as a free lunch at a restaurant, picnic in a park, a movie, etc. The groups provide members with an opportunity to leave their house under professional supervision and have the opportunity to socialise with others, thus reducing their social isolation.
