Assistance with Care and Housing - Hoarding and Squalor Support
This provider offers services through the Commonwealth Home Support Program.
Assistance with Care and Housing Hoarding and Squalor Support supports low-income older people living with hoarding behaviors and/ or in a squalid environment who are unable to receive the aged care services they need and/or at risk of homeless (see CHSP 2025-27 manual) by funding one-off deep cleans (rubbish removal, surface and carpet-cleaning) using a forensic cleaning company. Please note that non-cleaning related property issues such as structural repairs or plumbing and electrical work are out of scope, as are garden cleanups. The situation needs to meet accepted clinical definitions for hoarded or squalid environments. We encourage referrers to contact us before referring to provide detailed information and photos.
