St Francis Hostel was built in 1996. The rooms are well maintained with a robust deferred maintenance program in place to ensure that they are kept fresh and neat with good quality carpet and fittings. St Anthony House is the secure dementia wing of the hostel comprising 11 single ensuite rooms, each of which open on to a main passageway that leads to the common areas. The House is surrounded by neatly manicured gardens and a walkway leads all the way round the House. For fire safety all rooms are fitted with a sprinkler system and smoke alarms monitored by Fire Indicator Panel connected to the fire service. All rooms have a telephone socket, TV aerial point and built in robes. A modern hospital bed and bedside locker is provided unless the resident chooses to provide their own. Built in robes allow for generous storage space for clothes. Temperature is regulated by a reverse cycle air-conditioner. Motion sensors installed in the bedroom allow for monitoring of movement during the night so that staff can attend and provide assistance if required. The ensuite is 5 m2 in size, light and airy with a heater on the wall for the cooler months.

St Francis Hostel was built in 1996. The rooms are well maintained with a robust deferred maintenance program in place to ensure that they are kept fresh and neat with good quality carpet and fittings. St Brigid, St Clare and St Dominic Houses are each separate wings of the hostel comprising 10 single ensuite rooms, each of which open on to a main passageway that leads to the common areas of a shared dining room and lounge. Each room has a rear sliding glass door and security door that opens out on to a small brick paved outdoor area bounded by the spacious gardens. Each House has a common, brickpaved outdoor area with table and chair settings so that visitors can enjoy this with the resident when they visit. The Houses are interlinked by covered walkways and are surrounded by neatly manicured gardens. All information on this page - excluding Residents' Experience - is entered and maintained by St Francis Hostel, who is responsible for ensuring the information is accurate, complete and up to date.
How much you contribute towards the cost of your aged care is dependent on your personal circumstances. Your costs are an estimate based on information you have provided while using this website.
If you pay a refundable accommodation deposit or a refundable accommodation contribution, they may be subject to retention. Any daily accommodation payment you make may also be subject to indexation. Learn more about aged care home costs and fees.
Depending on your personal circumstances, some of the listed rooms may not be suitable for you.
Room size values are entered by provider and automatically given units for comparison. These may not always be accurate - please check with the provider if you aren't sure.
- New residents include residential respite and permanent care admissions. Residents are only counted once, when they first move in. People leave care for many reasons, such as end of life, moving to another service, going to hospital, and returning home following respite care. There are many factors that influence occupancy rates at an aged care home. This includes the number of places available at the home, renovation, and staff availability, among others. Occupancy rates alone do not reflect the likely availability of care or the quality of care at a home.
- Percentages shown are the sum of 'Always' and 'Most of the time' responses from the Residents' Experience Survey.
