Mosman Food Services
This provider offers services through the Commonwealth Home Support Program.
Mosman Food Service (Mosman Meals): The reasons why older people want meals prepared for them are vast – perhaps they can’t or prefer not to cook, they’ve just come out of hospital, they have an injury or they’d just like the convenience of having someone else cook their roast. At any one time, Mosman Meals offers them a choice of 80 nutritious home-style meals, including vegetarian and gluten-free, as well as pureed options for those having difficulty swallowing. The meals are cooked with fresh ingredients and chilled or fast frozen. Volunteers bring the food every day and can heat and serve the meals. They also have a chat with the older person or couple. It’s a unique and unobtrusive way to check in on older people living in their home and see if there’s anything else they need. Carers and active older people sometimes prefer to pick up meals directly from the kitchen. Or to socialise over a three course meal at our Community Restaurant Tuesdays and Fridays weekly from 12.30pm.
