Northern Health provide Community Nursing and Continence nursing to clients within the Northern Melbourne catchment.
Community nursing is a small service provided to support people who have recently been discharged from a hospital admission. These nurses provide wound care, catheter management, medication management and stoma care.
Our Continence Nurses are experienced clinicians specialised in the management of needs relating to improving continence. This includes:
bladder retraining and bowel regulation
catheter education
prescription of aids and equipment
client and carer education.
