Support at Home improves access to services, products, equipment and home modifications to help older people live at home for longer.

This includes support for:

  • Clinical care – such as nursing care, occupational therapy and continence care.
  • Independence – such as help with getting dressed, taking medications, transport and respite care.
  • Everyday living – such as cleaning, gardening, shopping and meal preparation.

From 1 October 2026, the Australian Government will fully fund personal care services. This means you can access personal care services at no out-of-pocket cost if you’ve been approved for the personal care service type in your support plan.
