Revocation of approved provider status, unless the approved provider agrees to provide relevant training within 6 months, at its expense, for its staff to support them in meeting the needs of care recipients. 2. Revocation of approved provider status, unless an adviser, approved by the Commonwealth, with the appropriate skills, qualifications and background to assist the approved provider to comply with their responsibilities in relation to care and services, is appointed by the approved provider for a period of 6 months 3. The approved provider is not eligible to receive Australian Government subsidies for any new care recipients for a period of 6 months.

Reason(s) for sanction or notice to agree Reason(s) for sanction or notice to agree The Australian Aged Care Quality Agency (the Quality Agency) provided the Department of Social Services (the Department) with a report that provided evidence of a serious risk to care recipients. The Department identified that the following issues in the Quality Agency’s report posed an immediate and severe risk to care recipients’ safety, health or well-being: · staff have not received adequate orientation to their roles or sufficient training to ensure that care and services are delivered in line with care recipients’ needs; · care recipients have not been re-assessed to ensure that care plans reflect care recipients’ current clinical needs; · care recipients’ medications are not being managed safely and correctly, placing care recipients at risk of not receiving medications as prescribed; and · care recipients’ nutrition and hydration needs are not being met.
Current status of service Current status of service The Department and the Quality Agency are continuing to monitor the Service. The Residents and Representatives meeting was held on 15 December 2014. The Adviser has commenced at the Service. On 18 December 2014, the Quality Agency made a decision that serious risk at the Service had been resolved.
